Yellow bird

Captured this bird on June 8th. Good for a first post here.
A crop duster spraying either fertilizer or bug spray. You can almost see the grin on the pilot's face. They love their jobs.

Woo, Hoo! Marc has posted! ;-)

It is so cool to watch these "crop dusters" flying 20-30 feet off the ground!

Glad to see you posting Marc. So you got sucked into this blog thing too, eh? I notice you folks have some really nice shots from the Rockport/Fulton area. We go down there at least once a year with my parents. They both enjoy birding and have for as far back as I remember, and Rockport is a great spot for that. We've been lucky enough to see the Whooping Cranes on one trip. I'm going to send my folks a link to your blog. I think they'll both like it.

That kind of reminds me of where my parents live in the hill country outside of San Antonio. There is a small airport by my mom's house and there is this guy that flies a glider which is cool to watch. So your plane is cool to see also.

This one was over a rice field near us. These guys are mostly self taught, since they fly single seaters.

When working at the Robindale WWTP expansion in Brownsville, about 12 years ago, I took several pictures of crop dusters flying under the power lines. One guy flying out of Rio Hondo had a huge radial engine instead of the opposed 4 cylinder in this pic. The ground shook when he flew over, some guys hot rod everything. Not going to post those pictures for obvious reasons but thanks for this picture to bring back the memory.
